Pony Tale de café ，这是 Sherine 介绍我去的餐厅，从她嘴里听到很好、很不错的餐厅，她也说这餐厅是没有味精的，所以就一直想去。 上星期天，我们懒惰煮午餐，所以我就提议到在 Spine Areana 的 Pony Tale de café 享用午餐，通常 PISA 在周末时都是车水马龙的，那天刚好没有 event ，所以有很多停车位，我们带着翔在店铺前的走廊上走，宽敞的走廊，旁边还有小喷泉，走起路来很写意，翔也很爱这地方，而且还可以让他停下来看喷泉。 进入 Pony Tale de café ，不是很拥挤，气氛也很好，我点了 snapper ，而梁点了 pumpkin seafood ，还点了一杯 berries 果汁，翔和我们 share ，他们还有提供 free flow 的 appertizer ，虽然选择不多，但是已经算不错了，店里也可以拿到免费的冷开水。 在等餐时，店员还送了翔一个小小的画板，虽然是普通的礼物，但也算是个惊喜，翔对那画板至今还是爱不释手的把玩着。 食物上桌，翔特别的兴奋（他通常对新鲜的事物都是情有独钟的），我把我的 snapper 和意大利面分了点给翔，他也自己吃到津津有味，那 snapper 还蛮新鲜的，味道也煮的不错。不过，最让我惊喜的还是梁的 pumpkin seafood ，好大的一个 pumpkin 装了意大利通心粉，外加一个杯子的通心粉可以再加入南瓜里，这分量已经够我们两个人吃了，还可以吃到很多的 pumpkin 都吃不完，味道也不错，只是吃得很胀，我们说以后如果我们都不太饿时，可以点这道菜来两个人分享。 这餐的费用为八十多，价钱中高，不过还算是不错的餐厅，以后有机会还是会再光临。

Few months ago, I was quite crazy with tart from Justart, it is located at Crystal Point in Bayan Lepas area. We know this shop through my brother-in-law, he recomended it as they got different varieties of tart, and lot of it are fruit tart. Surely, I like to try some new foods, so kept asking SL bought me some tarts to taste, we were there for about two to three times and we bought about 7-8 tarts each time, so we nearly tasted all the favour from the shop. We went to Daorae for dinner celebrated our wedding anniversary end of September this year and I only have time to write this down, it was happened about three months ago. Talking about Korea food, I wasn't very fancy about it two years ago, until we had quite a lot of Korea food experience in US when our relocation, I kind of crazy with their taufu shop, I like taste of soft taufu in spicy soup, it tastes nice. My first Korea food experience in US was in Nak Won at Watson Road in Beaverton, therefore I like there a lot. After back to Malaysia, I still sometime thinking for eating Korea food, but it is consider expensive in Malaysia, that you at least need to spend more than RM50 for two people to enjoy something nice here, while we only needed less than USD30 for good one in US. Nowaday, there are a lot of different online coupon sold, they always sell at price cheaper than we supposed to pay. That day, I searched for good deal online and found this coupon from everyday.com.my, it is an offer from Paradise Restaurant, only at RM24.90 for two people, and it comes with teppanyaki chicken, salmon teriyaki, fried vegetable, miso soup, rice and dessert. Recently, I quite enjoy on using Groupon, sometime I found deal are worth, but I got bought once which was really not worth to me. That day, I spent around RM45 to buy a coupon from Agua at Strait Quay, which mentioned 4 Tapas course (which I didn't know what Tapas meant) for 2 people. Since they claimed it was for two people and admin also mentioned it was big enough for two, so I bought it because Mediterranean was new to me. Then I reserved a date and went to "enjoy" their food, and finally I was only getting a plate of appertizer like dishes, there seem a lot of food in the plate, however most of them were just tasted like saurce to me, I think only Omellete, Squid ring and bread suited to my appertize, the other items tasted bitter and weird to me and SL. 那天，梁和我终于有机会到大树下去吃晚餐，其实我在槟城五年了，大树下的名字是常听，只是一直不知道在哪里，只知道在Jetty附近还有在树下，但不知道是在Jetty的哪里和在哪一棵树下。 终于，我们在网上找了些头绪，又在jetty绕了一圈，原来大树下还真的是在大树下，他的入口就被一个大树挡着，整间店就被树荫遮盖着，如果你从姓氏桥的那一边往店的方向看，你还真的是看见他是在大树下。 听说大树下出名海鲜，他们的海鲜是又好吃、有划算的，所以我们三道菜都点了海鲜，有点夸张吧，没有蔬菜，只是肉，那天我们真的是高胆固醇了。三道菜，我们点了“赖脲”虾（自取名字）、贝类和螃蟹。 自从那回在公巴好友吃了螃蟹，我就很想再吃螃蟹，所以我们叫了一人一只螃蟹，结果来了一大盘，两只超大只的螃蟹，令我看傻了眼。大树下的螃蟹真的是货真价实，好多的肉，让我吃得很满足。 由于没预料螃蟹是这么的大只，我们边吃还边忐忑不安，担心这一餐饭是否会超出预算，结果吃了100零吉，还好我们带够了钱，其实一百零吉，吃这三样菜还算可以吧，尤其是那两只大螃蟹。 整体来说，大树下的食物还可以，只是我觉得咸了点，或许我比较喜爱清淡口味，最回味的是它的螃蟹，够大只、够多肉，贝类也还蛮大的，只是“赖脲”虾没有拔壳的菜式，所以吃起来有点麻烦。但因为它的螃蟹，我还是给一个赞 :-) 吃完之后，我们还不断说那两只螃蟹，他们为我们带了不少笑话和回忆，这还是我生平第一次吃这么大只多肉的螃蟹。 大树下 “赖脲”虾 贝类 大螃蟹

Today is Deepavali, another public holiday for us, after started working for so mony year, I think everyone is counting down for their next public holiday, I am one of them and I like to enjoy my free off day. This public holiday, well was unhappy at the begining of the day, we both at bad mood with some quarrel, anyways still ending with happy and ice break. I did baking at afternoon, which I enjoyed the most of today, my today recipe is dark chocolate cake, it took me about an hour to finish, result is nice and tasty cake, it really tasted nice :-) another success baking. I don't know why, but my husband has very high expectatoion on "Wan Tan Mee", he always would find unsatisfy on some "wan tan mee" taste, he said that only a stall in Bayan Lepas can satisfy his requirement, well to me their almost the same, but I prefer not to have fried dumpling. To SL, he even tastes noodle's sauce. Seeing him tasted "wan tan mee" so "professional", so I found a shop with famous noodle in Penang for him, it is Yi Garden on Macalister Road, they also famous with "fried osyter". On a weekend, we visited Yi Garden and ordered "wan tan mee" and fried oyster for us, fried osyter was RM8.50 a plate, but I didn't find it is extremely nice as there wasn't a lot of oysters in the plate but we got a lot of fried egg, well I agree their egg was well fried, just it wasn't what we expected with the good advertistment said. 某天，与朋友聊到槟城的食物，她就介绍了这吴发成菜馆的火锅，她说好吃，所以我们就找了个周末去品尝了。 火锅并没什么稀奇，只是吴发成的火锅是碳烧火锅，这还是我第一次在槟城看到，上一次吃碳烧火锅是在金马伦高原，觉得当时的金马伦火锅好吃但放了很多味精，并不是我想要的。这次，来试吴发成火锅，我们也是有担心这点。  当我们到了吴发成菜馆时，是将近5:30pm，店才刚刚开，所以不是很多人，初次到这店，我们不了解他的价格是怎么算的，而槟城有很多火锅店是自助型的，一口价任你吃，所以我们看到店里没有自助柜台就觉得奇怪。 问了问老板娘，她说这店是走配套的，像我们两个人，就大概RM40有个火锅，还有两盘肉。我们也不太了解她的配套是怎样的算法，既然朋友介绍应该不会差，而且火锅之家也是大约RM20一个人头，所以就叫的那RM40的配套了。 才刚刚选完了配套，店员就将我们要的一壶茶和一盘花生送上，我们想这应该是包括在配套里吧，花生虽是普通的花生，但不吃白不吃，我们就吃得津津有味。之后，火锅就来了，下面是碳，偶尔需要风扇来让火烧大，锅中间还有个高高的烟囱，是让下面的烟散开的，锅里已经有好多料了，都是菜类。试了试它的汤，还蛮甜蛮好喝的。 最后，两盘的肉类就送上来了，材料都满新鲜的，虾也很大只，只是我们原本认为的两盘肉应该是两大盘的，但是他们比想象中少，再加上锅中的菜，我们认为是填不饱我们的肚子了，所以就叫了多两碗饭，我们想饭应该是不包括在配套吧。 吴发成的火锅汤底很好喝，我一边吃还一边赞它汤的味道，我们还猜这汤是怎没调味出来的，他们应该是没有加味精，因为我们当天没有感到非常的口渴，我们就喜欢这样的食物，没有味精的好味道。 当我们吃完准备付钱时，才发现那RM40的配套只包括了火锅和那两盘得料，茶、花生和饭都是另计，我们还用了两个也不包括在配套的湿纸巾，总共用了RM46.80。以价格与其它槟城的火锅来评，吴发成的火锅算是有点的贵，但是看在它的汤好喝的份上，我们都还算付得心甘情愿，但是，如果以后没有想要喝好的火锅汤底的话，我想我们应该较低可能会再来这间火锅店了。 由于吴发成坐落在汕头街(Kimberly Street)，所以周围还有很多的档口，听说还有汕头美食四大天王，我们在饭后还到了豆水档吃了那儿的豆水和豆腐花。听说，汕头街还有好喝的杏仁水，下次应该还会再到这里来尝...

说到这肉骨茶店，我们还真的是机缘巧合的来到的，当时我们本打算去吃白咖喱面的，但是才发现它只开到3pm，所以只好选别间店来解决晚餐，就选了这间靠近我们停留地点的益香肉骨茶了。 当我们抵达了这间店，就看见了间好大的一间肉骨茶店，这与传统的当口不太一样，其实第一眼见到这样规模的店，梁和我是有点的失望，就感觉像是去 Old Town 用餐一样，有规模没味道的感觉。 看了看它的菜单，又是另一种失望了，因为他每一样菜都有各自的价钱，不像普通的肉骨茶档将所有的材料都放入一个碗的，一口价，而益香的却将每一样食才分开来开价，如果真要将每样料都吃的话，还真的是不便宜呢。最后，我们就选了排骨和半肥瘦，加一道菜了。 然而，食物还没上桌还真是不能就此下定论的，益香的肉骨茶还真的是蛮不错的，它的排骨是很好的排骨，做得恰到好处，肉很容易就脱骨而出了，它的半肥瘦也是满满的一碗（虽然是小婉），味道也很不错。还有，他们的汤很浓、很好喝，很难在一般的档口找到，每一口还会感觉它沾在唇上，还会无意间的用舌头去舔自己的嘴唇，想把那浓汤的味道吞入肚里。这还是我们第一次喝肉骨茶喝到这么疑惑，喝到这么有话题。 其实，它将每样食才分开来开价也是有它的好处，向有人只喜欢某种部位，就只买那部位，而且还是精华，只是对于那些喜欢吃全部部位的人而言就有点的昂贵了，只是它的分量是可以满足一个正常人的肚子的，而且最主要是碗碗都是好料，我只能说是物有所值。 那天，我们大概花了RM34（包括饭和服务费）的晚餐费，是比一般的肉骨茶贵了些，但我们也很满意它的味道，回家途中还一直讨论着它的味道和它的概念，我们把它归类为精致的肉骨茶，小小一碗但却是精华，还真的有齿唇留香的感觉，梁还说这是他第一次有想要再回去同一间店再吃的冲动，而且还要再吃它的排骨。 相隔了一个星期，我们带梁的家人再去了益香，他们的食物虽然少了第一次的惊喜，但还是蛮好吃的，而且人多了价钱除起来也比较划算，五个人大约吃了RM68。 下次，我要试试它的绑线材料了，听说是因为他们用这绑线的方法，所以汤才会这么的香浓到位。只是，吃它们的肉骨茶时，要特别注意别让舌头烫到，因为它们用火来为汤保温，有时汤会被烧得太烫了。 地址：88, Macalister Road,        ...

Many people would say that you should try buffet in Las Vegas, because there is a lot of hotels and hotels surely would provide buffet. As said, so that SL and I tried a buffet during our stay in Las Vegas, we chose Wynn’s the Buffet after seeing a lot of reviews and recommendation on this award winner restaurant. Once we were landed to Las Vegas, we directly headed to Wynn Hotel and tried the Buffet, it was a weekday price at around USD50 for two people. Well, we didn’t wait too long because we were earlier than peak hour. The restaurant is big and nice, they have a specified area for food and desert and it is enough space for many customers to walk along the selection window. May of 15th 2010, we finally made the trip to Silver Falls State Park, it was a week delay of our first plan because I was quite busy on my work which made me sleepless on that time. In the early morning, we woke up and prepared our lunch for our trip, it was simple - fried rice. Then, we departed from home at eight o'clock and arrived to Silver Falls State Park south entrance about ten plus, immediately we started our hiking from south fall. This is our plan - our startpoint is South Entrance with Canyon Trail and our sequence of ten falls is South Falls, Lower South Falls, Low North Falls, Double Falls, Drake Falls, Middle North Falls, Twin Falls, North Falls, Upper North Falls, and then we take the Rim Trail back to south entrance, there we can see the Winter Falls at last. At May of 8th, that's another weekend to us and we decided to do something cheaper for the day trip. Therefore we went to our local library to get a culture pass to Japanese Garden. I would really like US library system now, they not only provide book borrowing, but also DVD and even provide culture pass, which is a pass to allow you to enter some attration in your county for free in a day. If I need to compare library system between US, UK and Malaysia, I would say of course US one is the best to me :D Well, I am also able to find a library everywhere in UK, it was still not provided so much service as in US (perhaps they do now, but my memory is just stay at 5~6 years ago). On the other hand, I don't find too much library in Malaysia, it is hard for me to make comparison :P After we collected the Japanese Garden cultural pass, then we just wanted to experience some special US culture - Garage Sale, which we had searched for some places online where the family would do garage ...

This evening, my hubby brought me to a bar type restaurant for dinner, it is famous with its buffalo wing, that you could choose a series of flavour to season your wing and we chose Carribean Jerk for this time, it is a little spicy but my hubby likes it a lot. When we were in the restaurant, it was full of crowd and they hanged out for their Friday night, chatting and watching TV. The special thing to me in this restaurant is they full with televisions that you couldn't hard to find a spot without television, and you even can find one in restroom. This place is similar with Mamak store in Malaysia, that you can see a lot of people watching basketball games altogether, though it is football in Malaysia. Again, we made the pizza again this weekend and I decided to use bread flour instead for all purpose flour because I heard that bread flour will be better than normal flour. Then, I just fellow my last recipe by replacing the flour. After my pizza was ready, I just didn't see my dough is proven, it just didn't rise as it should be :( honestly I was a little sad with that though toppings were still nice. Then, I decided to have a try on dough making today, that I was thinking it might because I used higher temperature to produce my yeast solution, which made them got killed in high temperature. Therefore, I used a thermometer to measure my water to make sure it is around 37 degree Celcius and made my dough. Surprisingly, my dough was rise for double size which amazed me when SL showed me the proven dough and we felt some light on this dough. Long time ago, SL told me that his friend is making pizza while his stay in US, and SL seemed really like his homemade pizza because it was colourful and look delicious. Then, I just kept in mind and wished to make a pizza for SL while we stay here because we got good facility in kitchen of our apartment. Finally, I was searching for recipes last few weeks and we made it last sunday evening. Due to we don't have big round pan, so I chose to make a rectangular pizza instad. First of all, we need to make the crust for the pizza, this is the most time taking part because we need to wait for the dough raised before spreaded the topping, it would take about 1~2 hours for preparation. Then, I just put topping according to my creativity and experience of eating pizza, mixed whatever I like on it :P At last, of course baked the pizza in the oven for about 20 minute, here our pizza was ready to eat, though our crust is a bit harded, it still tasted nice, and I would name it SLF Pizza :D We ...

I think baking is the most fun activity for a couple during their spare time, I love baking more and more now, especially when you see your mixture is successfully baked from the oven and your loved one just said it is tasty :) For two weeks ago, I have searched for cookie recipe online for my this weekend activity and I was looking for some healthy meal, then finally I found oatmeal cookies. This morning, SL and I went to Winco to shop for grocery and searching for my oatmeal cookies ingredients as well. There wasn't huge birthday celebration on SL's birthday, because it was a working day, so that SL and I only planned to have our dinner at Todai Seafood Buffet in Portland, this is a restaurant that Russ and Claire told us last month, they introduced us that the restaurant would provide free meal on your birthday. We left office early on 20th January and we arrived to Todai at about 7pm, restaurant's environment is look good and their foods are arranged in row, which are easy too find and take. Also, they provided crab and shrimp, but we didn't find lobster as CP told us.
