Our WW20
WW20 is our department's Rest and Recharge week, therefore SL and I both got a week off from project, I think it is the right time for a vacation to us and we fully utilized the week for moving in our new house.
We were really busy everyday over the week and finally we officially moved into the house on last Friday. Well, we still have some items are not completely installed or setup in our house, still it can live, at least better than where we rent in past few months. Now, I know it is really good to have a owned house, my home sweet home with my loved one.
However, it is really a lot of problems appeared after we moved in, though everything isn't too serious, we still worked tirelessly to resolve it, the worst part was drain at our drying area was blocked until water overflew when our washing machine drained out water during rinse process.
The main cause of drain blockage is due to we didn't block the outlet when doing wall and floor hacking, so that sand and stone were dropped into drain and slow down water flow. Then, we tried a lot of methods to solve it by trying to take stones out, but it doesn't help. Later, we use plunge to pump it, the condition is getting better and finally, water can flow smoothly after few days of hard work on playing around with the blockage drain.
At last, we only left some items to come, like kitchen top, curtain, dining table and so on to complete our house, soon our home sweet home will be the sweetest place we ever stay :)
This is our first house and we learnt a lot during these two renovation months, it is really tough job to setup a new empty house, we need a lot of well planning, else everything will drag, fortunately our contractors are quite nice and responsible, else it would be more jobs to be done.
For those new house owners, you will feel some level of satisfaction when you get through your renovation.
After this first house, we learnt that we actually don't need to take the extra package from developer during construction because their quality is also not nice and hard for doing renovation. Also, some lighting point from extra package doesn't really used by us and we just concealed it onto the wall, the extra package is just redundanct to us and the most important part is it is much more expensive than you asked your contractor to do it for you.
Anyways, we consider that we paid money to buy a lesson, but we will never take extra package anymore.
