Day 3 in Yellowstone National Park (13 Jul 2009)
Finally, it's the last day of our Yellowstone NP trip, we headed to last part of our tour in Yellowstone NP after we took our breakfast, there was a small part left for this day, which is the path from North Entrance to West Entrance and Norris is the main stop for the day.
This is a picture taken from our hotel.

We took a few stops before we got to Norris Geyser Basin, like Roaring Mountain and Museum of National Park Ranger.
Roaring Mountain.

Norris Geyser Basin is the hottest and the most changeble thermal in Yellowstone National Park and we still could see a lot of geyser there. However, it was raining on the day before our visit, therefore I wasn't really sure if some spring area was the original form or it was filled up by rain, anyways, they were still beautiful to me :)

At Norris Geyser Basin, there is a Steamboat Geyser which can erupt to more than 300 feet at 2005, but it didn't happen during our visit, this was the highest eruption in Yellowstone NP, that is higher than Old Faithful can do. But for common, Steamboat Geyser only with minor eruptions at 10 to 40 feet.

Norris area was nearly destroyed after a great fire on 1889, where we could see a lot of newborn pine tree in this area.

Besides, we also found a heart shape pool in Norris and took a picture with it :) I think everyone is sensitive with heart shape item, is this because everyone actually hopes for love??

After Norris, we just headed back to Oregon through West Entrance and there we found a traffic jam, where all cars stopped at the same point for a while before they proceeded their journey. Instantly, we knew there was something special there and we found an eagle with its nest there, of course we also took some pictures for this.
