Silver Falls State Park + Gardens Visit 051510

Image
May of 15th 2010, we finally made the trip to Silver Falls State Park, it was a week delay of our first plan because I was quite busy on my work which made me sleepless on that time. In the early morning, we woke up and prepared our lunch for our trip, it was simple - fried rice. Then, we departed from home at eight o'clock and arrived to Silver Falls State Park south entrance about ten plus, immediately we started our hiking from south fall. This is our plan - our startpoint is South Entrance with Canyon Trail and our sequence of ten falls is South Falls, Lower South Falls, Low North Falls, Double Falls, Drake Falls, Middle North Falls, Twin Falls, North Falls, Upper North Falls, and then we take the Rim Trail back to south entrance, there we can see the Winter Falls at last. Silver Falls State Park is famous with its beautiful ten waterfalls, which is located in Silverton and about two hours driving time from our place, SL and I both like hiking activity, that we can do some exer...

Japanese Garden

Image
At May of 8th, that's another weekend to us and we decided to do something cheaper for the day trip. Therefore we went to our local library to get a culture pass to Japanese Garden. I would really like US library system now, they not only provide book borrowing, but also DVD and even provide culture pass, which is a pass to allow you to enter some attration in your county for free in a day. If I need to compare library system between US, UK and Malaysia, I would say of course US one is the best to me :D Well, I am also able to find a library everywhere in UK, it was still not provided so much service as in US (perhaps they do now, but my memory is just stay at 5~6 years ago). On the other hand, I don't find too much library in Malaysia, it is hard for me to make comparison :P After we collected the Japanese Garden cultural pass, then we just wanted to experience some special US culture - Garage Sale, which we had searched for some places online where the family would do garage ...

trip

Sooner, it will be our second major trip of this year at next week, SL and I did a lot of researches on what we can do and how much do we need to spend on that trip. I really thank to SL as he is willing to go to Las Vegas with me, because it isn't considered cheap and he had been there before. I am looking forward for the trip and I hope it will be good memory to us, no quarrel no arguement, but sweet sweet moment :D

May 1st 2010

May 1st, a day after my birthday, kind of memorable day for SL and I, because at the same day of last year SL and I were seperated between two places. Well, I can say that day was our 1st year anniversary of seperation :P However, except upset memory from last year, we still had happy memory on this day in four years ago because SL and I first met on May 1st 2006, timing is flying that we have met each other for four years from now. Though a special day for us, we didn't do any celebration but recalled some upset memory on our last year seperation, and we even made joke that we would recall it every year on this to talk about how hard we did for being together and some side stories on what we encoutered during seperation and reunion, I think that would be unforgettable memory for whole of our life :P Of course we would learn to cherish time for being togethe. At the afternoon, SL and I decided to go out for some relaxation, well it was shopping in short :P There we went to Washingt...

Seattle April-27-2010

Image
Again, we visited to Seattle this spring at April-27 this year. Though it's still the sam city, Seattle, we had some different route for this time as some places suggested by BM. On the day, we departed from house at very early morning and headed to Ballard first as there is some special process to observe at Hiram Chittenden Locks. Hiram Chittenden Locks is a special dock, which has different sead level between dock and sea, therefore it needs a lock to lock and control the sea level then ship or boat can depart there to sea. Truely, I found it was really interesting when I saw the "tank" of Hiram Chittenden Locks got emptied and refilled of water during departure and arrival of ships and boats, or even canol. Beside the Locks, Ballard also has salmon ladder but it still was not the season yet, therefore I couldn't see salmon return to spawn, I wishes that I can revisit there again with SL during season :P Also, Ballard has a beautiful and big garden where we really ...

Portland + Mount Hood + Rose Garden

Image
That was another outing on last Saturday (24th of April) to somewhere nearby in our living area, that we started at Portland, then Mount Hood and Rose Garden in Washington Park. At first, we planned to revisit Waterfront Park for Saturday Market and cherry blossom. However, our plan looks didn't go well on the day, I should say it didn't go well for the whole day trip, including Mount Hood and Rose Garden. Let me to tell you our story later :D When we arrived to Waterfront Park, we just found it was going to rain soon but we still needed to continue our plan, therefore we walked around Saturday Market in the rain, well it was indeed different experience but I still prefer for a sunny day. Then, we found something different at Cherry Blossom area, because we didn't really see any cherry flowers there then but they replaced by a lot of green leaves. Oh, now we see the power of season changing, which could make certain flowers faded and help some other flowers grow. Though we ...

Birthday 2010

Image
It's April 30th again, well it's my birthday, just once again dropped on 30th of April :P From my perspective, my birthday on 2010 was started from an unhappy day and ended with happy evening. Just as usual, I needed to go to work on this day though it was my special day, but I was debugging on two problems on my work which was quite upset me because I had them passing on evening of the day before, but they both were just failed at night and they brought me quite some sleepless night. Frankly, I would be unhappy for the whole day if I didn't get them resolved at last. Well, I didn't really wish to have another unhappy birthday as last year (it was the last day for SL and I be together on 2009 before he was away for relocation). However, I think birthday girl would still own some luck on her special day, and I had my problems resolved at the morning. Yippie, finally I won't have an unhappy birthday. This year, SL and I just had simple celebration as we spent quite am...
