Portland + Mount Hood + Rose Garden

That was another outing on last Saturday (24th of April) to somewhere nearby in our living area, that we started at Portland, then Mount Hood and Rose Garden in Washington Park. At first, we planned to revisit Waterfront Park for Saturday Market and cherry blossom. However, our plan looks didn't go well on the day, I should say it didn't go well for the whole day trip, including Mount Hood and Rose Garden. Let me to tell you our story later :D

When we arrived to Waterfront Park, we just found it was going to rain soon but we still needed to continue our plan, therefore we walked around Saturday Market in the rain, well it was indeed different experience but I still prefer for a sunny day. Then, we found something different at Cherry Blossom area, because we didn't really see any cherry flowers there then but they replaced by a lot of green leaves. Oh, now we see the power of season changing, which could make certain flowers faded and help some other flowers grow. Though we still could find a little of cherry flower, it was still an extreme different with few weeks ago when we came with CP and SS.

Then, I just realised that life is actually so fragile, perhaps we would really look beautiful and good during certain period in our lifespan, but we still will be faded in one day because we can never escape from death, sick and even accident. Truely, seasonal country is really huge different with tropical's because I am hard to see faded plant in Malaysia because climate there is unchanged for the whole year, flowers would always grow and leaves would always keep green until they are old enough to fade.

After we had lunch at Chang's Mongolia Grill in Portland, we headed to Mount Hood direction for the most famous mountain in Columbia George area. However, we saw some snow (well I would say it was ice) when we were nearly arrived to Timberline Lodge, then we needed to decide whether to continue our journey or just return to home. At last, we were there to Mount Hood but weather wasn't good and it didn't allow us to stay too long because it was too cold, I think it was even colder than winter when we were there with YC.

Another dissapointment was Mount Hood was covered by fog, that we actually didn't even have chance to see the mountain clearly but only took some pictures of Timberline Lodge with my trembled hands :P

Again, I had been to Mount Hood through three seasons, except autumn, and I found it is the most beautiful in winter and snow melten in summer, but I didn't able to see it in spring and it is colder in spring for me :P

Though we were failed to see what we wanted in Portland and Mount Hood, we still wished to have some sightseeing in Washington Park, perhaps for their roses. Then, we arrived to the Rose Garden but we just knew it wasn't season for rose as it was too early :( Finally, we didn't see any grown rose in the garden but some baby rose which were hard to recognise.

Anyways, I was happy to see a baby there and took a picture with her, she was just a ten months old baby girl who was trying to climb up the stairs, of course she couldn't make it as she was still small, but I really found she is so adorable.
