Visa Application
Finally, it was another holiday in US, it's Independence Day on 4th of July, and of course we couldn't miss it and planned our West Canada trip to Vancouver and Victoria. Before entering Canada, we would need to have a visa so that we applied for a day leave on Friday for this purpose.
On 2nd of July, we woke up in early morning and headed to Canada Immigration Office in Seattle for Canada visa application to make sure we could arrive to the office before it’s opened at eight o’clock.
We were arrived to Century Square of Seattle about half pass seven and there were a lot of people waiting at ground floor already, we felt lucky that we went early to avoid even more crowd at later time.
Due to 1st of July is Canada’s holiday and 4th of July is US’s holiday, therefore 2nd of July was an extremely busy day for Immigration Office and only the applicant allowed waiting in the room, then I just left the office to wait for SL.
In the meanwhile, I grabbed some tourism information booklet outside of the office to start detail planning on our West Canada trip. There are two types of Canada visitor visa, single entry and multi entry, single entry can only last for a entry within half year to Canada and multi entry allowed you to enter Canada as long as the same passport is valid. However, there is exclusion for single visa, it will allow you to re-enter Canada within half year as long as you don’t leave US until your next entry. And, we chose to apply for a single entry.
While we were waiting for the visa ready to collect at eleven, SL and I just took a short walk to Pike Place Market, which is just a few streets away from the office. The main purpose was visiting the first Starbucks store again and bought two Starbuck cups.
Finally, we got our visa before twelve and headed directly to Vancouver, it was about 2.5 hours driving time from Seattle, and I was so excited for the trip which is our first time to Canada, a maple leave on the flag. For making our trip special, I named it as our fourth anniversary for being together in this relationship, due at 19th of July.
Thanks SL for going with me to Canada and gave up his chance to watch quarter final of World Cup ^_^
