Airlines to Maldives
According to my research, there are three airlines provide service from Penang of Malaysia to Male of Maldives, Malaysia Airline, Singapore Airline and Sri Lankan Airline.
Among these airlines, I eliminated Singapore Airline first because it is the most expensive one compare with other two.
Between Malaysia Airline and Sri Lankan Airline, Sri Lankan is the cheapest one and they got more frequent flight to Maldives, but we need to travel longer with them as there are two stops, first at Kuala Lumpur and second at Colombo before Male.
Malaysia Airline is slightly expensive compare with Sri Lankan, but we only need to transit at Kuala Lumpur for two hours layover period. However, there is only one trip per day to Male, we actually quite worry if flight would delay or cancel if weather doesn't allow, then we need to wait for next day.
At very first place I was thinking to choose Sri Lankan Airline because they have flight arrives before 3pm, so that we won't miss our seaplane transfer to our island resort. But, we finally decided to take Malaysia Airline for shorter transit time, therefore we have to stay at Male for a night before transfer to our island resort.
We are on our way flying from Kuala Lumpur to Male now, and I suddenly felt that we might have made a correct decision before we won't be too tired for waiting our next flight. Also, I think that isn't too bad to spend a night in Maldives' capital city.
Another hand, we can depart to our island resort as soon as possible from our hotel in Male, without rushing from arrival hall to seaplane transfer terminal, this might be more relax for us.
At last, we are both happy now because we are going to Maldives soon, it is just within few hours time :)
