Packages of Vilamendhoo Island Resort

Among resorts in Maldives Islands, I think most resort at least provided four types of package for visitor to opt during their stay, the basic one is only breakfast provided, then half board will include breakfast and lunch and full board will provide three meals. However, all these types are not included drink for other time of day.

There is another package called all inclusive package which will include three meals and some basic drinks, like mineral water and soft drink during stay at all period that you stay in island. Some resorts also provide all inclusive plus package, there will be some alcoholic drink provided on top of all inclusive package.

We took all inclusive plus package for our stay in Vilamendhoo, so that we only need to worry about our schedule but all meals and drinks are provided. Due to living in island with burning sun, I strongly think that we need a lot of water to survive, therefore an all inclusive package is really necessary. However, we are not alchohol fans and we actually don't really need a plus for it.

Another benefit for taking all inclusive plus package is resort also provide some lesson and excursion for customers so that they can enjoy their stay, of course we want to fully utilize it and it made our schedule full after signed up for that.

However, I did some research on different type of package, I found price different between full board and all inclusive plus package is about USD110 for two people per night, actually that is a lot because I don't think that we would consume so much drink within a day and we are not alcohol fans. So, I think we might pick full board package if we have chance to visit Maldives next time because we have taken those lessons and sunset cruise, so we may invest those extra money on some different excursion next time, perhaps snorkeling trip or diving trip.

The All Inclusive Plus Package includes:
Breakfast (0730 - 0930), Lunch (1230 - 1400), and Dinner (1930 - 2130), served in the Funama Restaurant for guests staying in the Garden Rooms and the Beach Villas and in the Ahima Restaurant for guests staying in the Jacuzzi Beach Villas and Jacuzzi Water Villas, featuring “all you can eat” buffets with a variety of menus to please everyone’s taste
24 Hour Tea served in the Bonthi Bar for guests staying in the Garden Rooms and the Beach Villas, and in the Sunset Bar for guests staying in the Jacuzzi Beach Villas and Jacuzzi Water Villas
Unlimited “all you can drink” alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages “all day - all night”, as follows:

Beverage not listed above, such as: other liquors, liqueurs, selections from the wine list, fresh fruit juice, espresso, cappuccino, blended drinks and cocktails (other than the Daily Special All Inclusive Cocktail)

Important Points:
Beverage is for your own consumption, served one glass at a time, while at the Resort’s Restaurants or Bars
All guests registered in the same room must be on the All Inclusive Plus Package
Alcoholic beverage will not be served to anyone younger than 18 years of age
Vilamendhoo accepts only guests of age 18 years and older in the Sunset Bar
Management reserves the right not to serve alcoholic beverage to inebriated guests
There are no refunds or substitutions, nor are any benefits transferable to another guest
The All Inclusive Plus Package is available only for the guest’s entire length of stay

Procedures:
Upon check-in, a guest will be given a wristband which must be worn at all times to identify oneself as an All Inclusive Plus Package guest, and which must be returned to Reception at check-out time
Please take care because there is a $25.00 replacement charge for a lost wristband!
Guests must sign all Food & Beverage bills, except for your buffet meals. Bills do not include prices and no charges will be posted to your hotel account for those benefits included in your All Inclusive Plus Package
All Inclusive Plus Package benefits may be enjoyed until the time the guest checks-out or the check-out time of 1200 noon, whichever is earlier; except guests entitled to lunch on the day of departure who then are also entitled to beverage during lunch.
Please remember that charges not included in the All Inclusive Plus Package must be paid upon check-out!
