A Saturday out

It's a Saturday and we had planned to go to Mount Hood for a day out during this day, therefore we woke up in the morning and got ready to depart, then we found there was ice formed on our car, this is the second morning with ice formation, I think winter is close and the weather is getting colder lately.

However, there was situation, that we couldn't get our car started when we tried to do it for several times, this made us down and SL could only call to the car rental for assist, then the car towing service came and recharged the battery, he told SL that was due to cold weather that made battery condemned, which is happening when weather turns cold.

Then, SL found insecured with the car condition and we decided to exchange our car with car rental at Portland Airport, this took us about 2 hours to complete the whole process, then we just decided to cancel our Mount Hood visit.

Ice formed on our car.

It was just about lunch time after we had our car exchanged, then we chose to have our lunch at somewhere near to Portland Airport, which is Cascade Square and we went to Red Robbin, a restaurant which is famous with burger. In the restaurant, I saw there were a lot of customers, I think this should be a popular restaurant and their burger costs about USD10 with fries.

After taking Red Robbin's burger, SL was really satisfied with its good taste and I think he really loved it a lot. And, I also like it because their burgers are really nice, and I could find a lot of vegetables there.

SL's burger, this is a trademark burger.

My burger.

After lunch, we saw an IKEA is at Cascade Square, then we decided to wander around the shop, that we didn't expect to buy any item, but we ended up to have some valuable items for our newly empty apartment :P Sometimes, I would find living cost in US is better than Malaysia if we compare it without any currency conversion.

After we spent some times at Cascade Square, we just proceeded to city center for our food shopping at 82nd Avenue, there is a Chinese supermarket where we can find some Asian product there though prices are higher than we got it in Asia.

After the shopping, we went for a walk at Pioneer Square, there was a festivel in the square where we could see some tents installed there, I think it might be a beer festivel and there was a long line there.

Due to it is close to Christmas, we could see a lot of lighting along the street, this is the first time we visited Portland town area during a night, but it was really a cold night for us that we both felt freezing while walking on the street.
