Day 5 in Hong Kong (19/3/2008 Musuem)

Wednesday as we read from our tourism book, it told us that most of musuems in Hong Kong are free of charge, this would save us some money for the trips. We used whole of daytime with walking among musuem.

Luckily, those entrance free musuems are located nearby in Kowloon, therefore we didn't spend too much time on getting from a musuem to another musuem. And this is near to our hotel and this makes us easy to reach.

We woke up in the morning for our musuem visit, we needed to go through a shopping mall before we reached to Space Musuem and we saw that is a exhibition of old style car in the mall, it is beautiful and we couldn't stop to take some pictures with it. See, don't you think it is cute?

After photo session with the car, we proceeded to Space Musuem immediately, but we found that it would only open at 1pm, therefore we changed our plan to visit Art Musuem first and returned to Space Musuem after lunch, as Art Musuem just beside of Space Musuem.

While we reached to Art Musuem, it was not opened yet but we saw some visitors were waiting outside of the musuem there. The Art Musuem opened at 9am sharp and it was really free for Wednesday, this made us felt that we really were good planner :P

There was a lot of exhibition in Art Musuem, we even couldn't believe that were so many art works in the world, human is so amazing and full with creativity. I specially liked one of the art work, which is combination of several scrolls into one full picture, I found it is special and needed a lot of patient and time to complete it.

We were not absorbed so many art works in one time, therefore we left the musuem around 11++pm and had our lunch hunting. We decided to have lunch at a bar near to Avenue of Star because I received a leaflet at the morning, which we could get a free burger while we ordered for a burger set meal.

The bar is really special and I liked its environment because we could see the view of Hong Kong River and the Avenue of Star. Also, I personally liked its burger, it was really delicious, I even suggested SL to revisit it again before we leave Hong Kong. However, we didn't do it because we hoped to take meal in variety of restaurants.

We finished our lunch before 1pm, it was too early to continue with Space Musuem, therefore we went to Cultural Center, which is near to Art Musuem and Space Musuem, just a few steps away :) We were so lucky because this is the first day of "Hong Kong International Film Festival", we were abled to see some exhibitions in the lobby and its schedule. However, we didn't watch any film from the festival because timing and location didn't suitable our schedule. However, I was happy enough to see its renovation in the lobby :)

We spent our time to enjoy environment of Hong Kong International Film Festival until 1pm and proceeded to Space Musuem, however I was a little dissapointed with Space Musuem because there was nothing too special to me, it facilitizes mostly for kids with some games for kids interest. I was thinking to play those games, but feeling bad to share games with kids although I always behave like a kid :P Well... I only chose some mature-like games to play and left the musuem in short staying time.

After that, we went to a further musuem (well, it is still close, just we needed to walk more to reach there), there were two musuems - Science Musuem and Hong Kong History Musuem, but time only allowed us to visit one of them, so I chose Science because I think I know Hong Kong History pretty much.

Coincidentally, it was a photographer exhibition in Science Musuem and we paid it a visit as well, we saw a lot of photographer art, some of them were really impressive, actually SL also knows a little about of photograph and he would tell me which photo is his favourite and which is weaker. Well... I only can listen because I know nothing. While I was seeing those photos art, I remembered a teammate, who loves taking photo as well until professional level.

After seeing the photographer exhibition, we continue to science exhibition. At the entrance of the exhibition hall, it was the first thing impressed me, it is a huge "roller coaster" for ball, this was was my first time to see this huge art, I think the creator should be some of level of smart. The second thing which impressed me in Science Musuem is the "World of Mirror", there is using theory of refletion from mirror to create some illustions, this is a great art.

This is reflection of two opposite mirrors, so that we can see a lot of our reflection inside the mirror.

This mirror is really special, where you can find double of you while you were standing in front of it, we felt this is really interesting and took a picture of it, SL even used this picture as his Friendster's profile picture for some time.

This mirror is really strange, where we stand in front of it, but what we see in the mirror is our back, quite a good refletion theory :)

This mirror is captured our image with upside down position, kind of funny :)

This mirror look normal, but actually it is not, can you see that our camera actually is in another direction from the mirror. Yes, actually we need to look at the another side of the mirror to find our image appeared.

Well, this mirror should be nothing surprise for you, many people know this is haha mirror, which will change our normal shape, but we found our changed image is looking funny, so that we took a picture for it. Haha... we were slimmer then.

This one is really caught us a surprise, because it can make our bottom disappeared from sight, and it took us sometime to figure out how does it working. And, we saw the same tactic in Genting Highland, and we knew the trick already, then it was not special while we met it in Genting Highland.

Besides all, there was also a mirror maze and we were abled to capture it in video format, it was funny when we saw a person couldn't recognise the way in front and knock himself onto the mirros :P

After we done with musuem visiting, we walked all the way to Prince Edward MTR Station, here is with a lot collection of night markets. We were abled to walk along goldfish street, we really saw a lot of goldfish shops open on this street. After that is flower street, Shanghai street and women street.

Women street of Hong Kong is quite famous in Malaysia, and there sells a lot of woman consuming products. We spent some time in Women Street and I bought a pair of stockin and a bag there. The ladyboss in stockin stall was really rude, until I was quite dissatified her behaviour, though we finally bought from her, just I was lazy to continue searching.

Also, we bought some Hong Kong signature magnets for our friends at Women Street, I found SL is actually really capable in bargain, he was the person doing bargain all the while :P

Finally, we went to Temple Street for dinner, I was always thinking to visit to this street because that is a Hong Kong movie starred by Andy Lau is talking about a kid grew up in Temple Street. Before we started our day, we had planned to have our dinner at "Heng Chee Boiled Rice" because we read from our tourism book about this shop, its boiled rice is really famous and delicious for localist. Well... we really found it is delicious. The trip ended after dinner and we backed to hotel for a good rest because we would have another long day to go :)
