Day 2 in Los Angeles - Disneyland Park (28 July 2009)
We didn't wake up too early at this day because Disneyland Park is just near to our motel, it was convenient to us that we could walk there within 15 minutes.
We arrived to Disneyland Park at 8:30am and we just immediately started our journey, there were so many people walked into Disneyland Park direction, I couldn't believe with the crowd as it was Tuesday, that I never expected so many people would be travelling on the day.
After we got into the Disneyland Park, we immediately research on the map and special event schedule to make sure we could enjoy everything in the Park. Disneyland Park opens with five lands in it, which are Main Street, Adventureland, Frontierland, Fantasyland and Tomorrowland. After seeing the map, I felt lucky that we just bought ticket for a park because Disneyland Park is big enough for a full day trip, I was even worried if we could go through all attractions with this kind of crowd.
At first, we went to Adventureland and lined up for Indiana Jones Adventure, where we spent about 30 to 45 minutes to wait until we could play the game, and there we learnt that we could get used with fast pass to plan our time, so that we could have our time fully utilised except just spent it on waiting on line.
What is fast pass? It is a service that you could get it at some attractions, so that you could just played the game on some specified time without waiting, but just go directly for the game. Of course, you couldn't play the game immediately after you got your fast pass, but at least you can plan your time on doing/playing other things without wasting time on queueing. I personally think this is a good service, because we could visit more places within limited duration, instead of waiting.
From what I know, Disneyland Park provides games and shows together, I personally prefer to see their special performance while SL likes to play those thrill games. For me, I think those thrill games could be found any theme park, but we would be hard to see the same show outside of Disneyland Park, because every theme park would have their own topic and Disneyland might have trademarked their show to prevent copying. Anyways, I did enjoy both games and shows with SL in the Park.
Among all shows, I like some of them, Enchanted Tiki Room, Celebrate! A Street Party, Magical and Fantasmic, I think they are good and lively. And, I think "it's a small world" and Space Mountain are two games that left me more amusement.
In Enchanted Tiki Room, there was just like a performance in a jungle, where birds, flowers and tiki poles are just magically go to live and singing to each other with perfect rythm. Well, I know they all were fake and made by human, but you really would find amazing to see this "well-equiped" room. After seeing the performance in the Tiki Room, SL and I discussed on the hardwork of setup on this attractions, that they needed to plan and programmed for sound, song, movement, environment and so on, so that they can have those perfect performance, this is really not an easy job.

After playing with some games, we were having our lunch at French Market Restaurent, where I chose a cheese pasta and SL chose a roasted citrus chicken.
After some rushing of time, we just on time to Celebrate! A Street Party performance at 3:30pm along the Parade Route, it was another excellent performance by Disneyland, where you could see their staffs and Disney Characters are joining the crowd along the street singing and dancing, they all were abled to create a happy, lively and happening atmosphere with tourists, especially children. Truely, it is a street party for everyone and full with happiness.

A castle at Fantasyland.
Among all Disney characters, which one would you recall first in your mind? I think most people would say Mickey Mouse, right? Yes, I think he is the main character of Disneyland, therefore tourists needed to visit into his house and lined up for a long queue for seeing him and taking pictures with him. Of course, SL and I were one of crazy tourists on the line :P There we went through a long queue for about 30 minutes and saw Mickey Mouse finally and took the perfect 3 in 1 photo with him with our camera. After seeing the best picture of the day, I wasn't regret to wait for it, because this is the only picture of our LA trip that we could find both of us together, but not only with big heads there :P
After that, we went for a non-thrill ride at "it's a small world", it is actually normal ride with boat along water lane, but I was amazed with their creative idea all along the trip. This ride is using a famous song "it's a small world" as their theme song and performs it with different musucal instruments and display with different countries in the world, we even were not abled to recall some of them. After the ride, I think many people would never forget the rythm of "it's a small world". For me, this is another good project as the Enchanted Tiki Room which the designer needs to put a lot of effort on it.

Among all rides in Disneyland Park, I think Space Mountain was the most thriller one and I think nobody will deny it, where we lined there for about 45 minutes until we got the ride. On the ride, we we in nearly all dark environment that we couldn't really see the track, this created some uncertainty on our next step, therefore we would enjoy the ride with screaming scarely :P

Thereafter, we went to "Honey, I Shrunk the Audience", which was a 4D movie and we could experience some special effect in the cinema, this just felt like we were also a character inside the movie.
After the 4D movie, SL and I originally planned to was Fantasmic! at 9pm, but we saw there were a lot of people gathered at Main Street, just in front of castle of Fantasyland, then we just found there was the best location to view the firework from Magical, don't you think so? Firework just right behind of castle, this is the most spectacular view to everyone, it is really a magical for me. Except the 15 minutes breathtaking firework, they also come with story performed at castle direction, this is an addition on our firework of the night before that in Disneyland carpark area. For those who like firework, I am sure you would love this Magical, I just felt like went into fairly tale.

Although we missed the Fantasmic! at 9pm, we were still abled to see it at 10:30pm because Disneyland performed it twice a night during summer, but the second show would be really crowded as everyone from Magical show is moving to Frontierland for the last show of the day, so that we would find difficulty to sit on floor. After ignoring all unhappy moment while we were sitting on floor and josted situation, we were really enjoyed with Fantasmic show, it was really amazing with so special effect from Disneyland.

The Fantasmic! show lasted for about 25 minutes and it was about 11pm, everyone was moving toward to exit and created congestion of flow, but we finally left the Park with any surprised. This day, I only got back to hotel after 12 midnight but we enjoyed a lot with Disneyland Park full day trip.
All after all, I think a day actually wasn't really enough to cover whole Disneyland Park as we skipped some attractions and shows, but it was enough for all main viespoints.
