Misjudge
Tonight, I read on Jorge Larrionda profile, who is the referee in 2010 World Cup between Germany and England, he misjudged a goal which shot from Lampard and England finally lost to Germany with 1-4. Obviously, that is really a goal and everyone can see it clearly and media did analysis from his angle that he shouldn't misjudge it unless he is "blink". Including the line man, I think they both have eyesight problem by ignoring that ball.
Beside the goal from England, referee in 2010 World Cup obviously got problem on their judgement, like games between Argentina vs Mexico and USA vs Slovenia, they both counted or uncounted a goal from what it should be. Also, a lot of diving case in the game and misjudged by referee, especially how Torres' special performance between Spain and Chile, which leaded a Chile player redcarded. If there is replay allowed, this type of cheating skill could be reduced as well.
What is professional? I thought World Cup should reach certain standard in their football field, especially they need to select those quality referee, but I am doubt with FIFA now. After reading Jorge Larrionda's profile, I got to know that he was suspended for six months by the Uruguayan Football Association because of he accused corruption. With this unclear background, how can FIFA reselect him as a referee in 2006 and 2010?
Due to some misjudge in 2010 World Cup, it renew discussion on goal line technology implementation in football field, I don't think this technology will replace referee post but at least it will help referee to reduce their personal mistake, unless they really want to control the game themselves, fool the whole world.
If goal line technology wasn't existed in the world, I won't blame those stupid referee misjudge the game, but it is existing now but why nobody just suggests to take it to reclaim a fairer and cleaner game on football feild?
I am actually really enjoyed to watch NBA, because they allow to replay the game so that people can make a better judgement according to what was recorded, nobody can fool the referee or people because the history is recorded and that is a proof. If NBA and implement such technology successfully, why can't football make it?
Perhaps, some countries need to break the traditional and start the new football era to implement the technology, rewrite the history. With technology, people can move further and fairer on field. At least players couldn't blame when they lost the game if everything is fair.
