Day 5 away from Bali (8/12/2008 - Shopping)
This is our last day in Bali, we were going to leave our honeymoon land, our villa and our holidays, we were feeling a little sad on this because we will really go to miss all the pleasure moment in Bali.
We woke up in the early morning, it was a bit raining, therefore we didn't swim in our private swimming pool as we planned at the night before. And we cut our Honeymoon cake and took some of it, which was given from villa, this Honeymoon cake is included in our package, it was delicious but we couldn't finish it, as we needed to have our breakfast soon.
After that, our chefs came to our villa and prepared our breakfast, they were fried noodle and fried rice. However, we had taken some Honeymoon cake at the morning, so that I couldn't finish all my fried noodle, actually it is really delicious, we would finish it if I had chance for next time.
Anan came to our villa at 9:50am and gave 10 inches photo with frame and our honeymoon gifts to us, they were prepared by Anan travel agent, they are so lovely.
We checked out from villa at 10am, this means our journey was nearly completed at that moment, I was sad to go back this fast and hoped if I could stay longer. After that, Anan brought us to three places for shoping Bali's local products, they are Coffee Bean factory, cookies shop and bird nest shop.
At first, we went to Gold Kirin coffee bean factory, our guide brought us and saw process on coffee making. Actually, the whole process is quite simple, coffee collectors will collect coffee bean from farm and send to factory. In factory, they will peel the coffee shell and transfer to coffee selection. There are three types of coffee, the low class (which is uncomplete shape bean), middle class (which is complete half bean) and high class (which is complete full bean).
They also call middle class as female bean and high class as male bean, I am a little offend with this, why male always marks higher than female, this world is actually unfair :(
After that, the guide allow us to taste coffee from female bean, it was delicious. And we needed to pay if we require for male bean tasting because male bean is rare to get, it would cost Rp20,000 for a cup. And SL told me smell really different between male bean and female bean, the male is better.
We found their coffee bean was really nice and bought some from them, 3 packs of male and 3 packs of female, it costed us RM185. They also told us their beans are with lower kafein content.
Pictures below are coffee trees, but they didn't process any coffee bean because of climate, they are only for display, the real productive coffee trees are in another location, where is suitable climate.
After that, we went to a cookies shop to buy some Bali local cookies, Bali is famous with their layer cake and their taste is delicious, therefore we bought a box of layer cake to share with our friends in Malaysia.
Then, we went to a bird nest shop, where we could drink a small bowl of bird nest, it was delicious. Also, SL bought 2 boxes of bird nest and 3 boxes of seaweed, they costes the most in our trip, this was my first time seeing SL spent so much money with willingly, I was kind of stuck to see this.
I also bought 3 boxes of tea in the shop, it said got liver protection function, so that I bought it for SL as his liver wasn't too good.
Due to we bought too many things on the last day, so that we reorganised our lagguages after that, what we bought in bird nest shop was occupied one of our lagguages already.
Finally, we went to Denpasar Airport to depart to Malaysia soon, this means our honeymoon was ended there, I was in totally sad mood, I was really down until thinking to cry while the plane took off. I really love our honeymoon in Bali, it was excellent to us, we were seeing and playing a lot in Bali, I love Bali.
Bali is really a good tourism place, I even thinking of revisit it, this is the first place that I had this kind of revisit wish.
After arrived to KL, we just knew that was bad weather in Malaysia on the day, therefore a lot of flights were delayed their flying schedule. Fortunately, our flight only delay for an hour, there was a flight to Penang scheduled before us, it was delayed for 4-5 hours, I would be crazy if I was the passanger. Still an hour waiting didn't ruin my honeymoon too much, we were feeling lucky with no longer waiting needed.
