I think baking is the most fun activity for a couple during their spare time, I love baking more and more now, especially when you see your mixture is successfully baked from the oven and your loved one just said it is tasty :) For two weeks ago, I have searched for cookie recipe online for my this weekend activity and I was looking for some healthy meal, then finally I found oatmeal cookies. This morning, SL and I went to Winco to shop for grocery and searching for my oatmeal cookies ingredients as well. When I fellow step by step as the recipe told, I knew this time my cookies won't mix all together as last time, because they felt quite firm to stir in my mixing bowl. UK is famous with their football games, while US is famous with their basketball games, and among so many basketball games, NBA is the most popular among of all. Of course, we shouldn't miss an NBA memory while we are still in US here, at least we need to experience it once. Last Sunday 21st of February, SL and I were going to Portland Rose Garden Quarter for an NBA game, SL had tickets booked at few weeks ago when he was under pressure during work. which drove him crazy to spend some money on entertainment :P Then finally we went to the game and witnessed the game between Portland Trail Blazter and Utah Jazz. For me, I think that is really an experience to watch a game in the stadium, it is truely different with what we watched it on TV. After finished reading the book of "Twilight", my next wish was to watch the movie, it was really good timing that my hold Twilight DVD from the library was just available on yesterday, I just couldn't help to get it immediately and watched it last night. If I said Twilight the book was a little below my expectation, then Twilight the movie is even worse, boring and slow line, the actors wasn't played too well, still until the appearance of James brought some thrilling to the story. In the book, Twilight story took place in Forks and somewhere around Olympic Peninsula in Washington state, however I don't think it happened there in the movie, it is most likely taken somewhere in North West Pacific, just around the border of Oregon and Washington. Finally, I finished reading Twilight, another book from Stephenie Meyer, this first book of Twilight Saga. Well, for me, I still think "the Host" from Stephenie Meyer is the best, which I love the story a lot. In Twilight, Bella (the main character) is a beutiful girl, I actually spent a lot of time to read how attractive she is and so many guys would like to date with her, that was taking quite some chapters of Twilight until she is getting together with Edward (the main male character). Honestly, I found it wasn't such an attractive story in the beginning of book because I am not that type of girl, I am not attractive and I never had that kind of experience when a lot of guys surrounding me and crazy on me, therefore I just couldn't imagine the scenario happens to myself, but I only can tell myself "that is my sister Phoebe, not me". Sooner, it's spring now, I could feel temperature is getting warmer and warmer than last two months, the sun is working at its normal shift now that I could see the sun when I wake up from bed and the sunset when I back from office. Especially, trees are so significant signal to us, that they start blossoming now, we could see some little flowers just break the branch and paint the pale branch with some beautiful colour, red is the most regular colour. Today is the first day of CNY (for US time), that we got a small gathering at SL's teammate's apartment, we were having steamboat session and I just know that is normal for having steamboat for Penang people during chinese new year. Well, we didn't take steamboat in Johor until recent years. I think it is good for having small gathering, so that we could get some information from others, like I found out where we could find a library in this comunity area, I was longing for a library in US for last few months but I got no idea until this gathering. When I was in the UK, I would search for library information once I moved to a place, so that I know libraries in Birmingham and Nottingham as well. Today is Valentine Day, I heard a good song from My FM online this morning, which is really a meaningful song, telling us about different characteristic of people, therefore it is really hard to build up love. Then once you have decided to spend your life with a person, you need to learn about caring and understanding, don't just to be too sturborn on wanting everything just goes as your way, sometime you will only be a loser though you win in every arguement between two. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Hey, it is Chinese New Year soon in US time, my hubby was couting down to me today morning around 8am while I was still sleeping on the bed, it was the first day of CNY in Malaysia time, but we are still on CNY eve. Honestly, it is really happy for celebrating CNY with SL, especially when we are in a foreign country, the CNY will never be too lonely with the loved one by your side. Though we are allowed a hometrip from our relocation package, but we save it for later March because we got some personal errand to arrange during that period, like our apartment arrangement and we need to take SL's parents for some vacations to US during spring season. Actually, there are still some people from Malaysia staying here over their CNY, therefore we got a reunion lunch to celebrate the CNY eve, it was good to join the reunion because it is merrier for having more people on this biggest festival for our comunity. It is Chinese New Year again, this year could be considered special to us because SL and I have to spend our Chines New Year in US, a country far away from Malaysia, this is our first CNY in Foreign, his first but the second for me. While celebrating my Chinese New Year in US, I just couldn't forget my first Foreignland's CNY, which was in the UK when I was taking my master degree there, I just couldn't forget that was the most lonely Chinese New Year in my life because I didn't have my family with me and now TV program for new year countdown, and I also didn't have a big feast as I normaly take in Malaysia. My first foreignland's CNY was at 2005, and I spent it together with a friend from China and we took pizza for our reunion dinner, which was really a memorable night to me.
