I miss you

Nowadays, my son would tell me how much he missed me that day, but do you know mummy also miss you everyday.

Samuel: if I kick the ball and break the window, will you miss me?
Me: I will be sad, but I still miss you.
Samuel: what if I break the wall?
Me: I will be sad, but I still miss you.
Samuel: what if I break the whole house.
Me: I will be sad, but I still miss you.

Why sound like "guess how much I love you"? Recently, he likes to ask this kind of questions, to ensure he gets unconditional love from us.

国歌和州歌

翔的学校，每天都有升旗里，并会唱国歌和州歌，我还问翔升旗里是什么时候发生的，他说是在报道了在可是玩了一会儿之后，才出去外面一起assembly，他们会升两面旗，一面旗唱一首歌，我想那就是国歌和州歌了。 所以，最近翔常常会要求我们唱国歌给他听，只是唱国歌对我们的记忆已经是很遥远的了，当然我们还可以记得一些，但是并不完整，所以就google了国歌来学学，现在的翔已经会唱零零碎碎的国歌了。 只是，我们都不是槟城人，当然是不会唱州歌啦（而我们自己州属的州歌也全忘了），于是也google了槟城的州歌来听听，并要求翔确认。 看来，我们要记得这两首歌了，这样才可以教翔唱一唱。 Negaraku: Negaraku, Tanah tumpahnya darahku, Rakyat hidup, bersatu dan maju, Rahmat bahagia, Tuhan kurniakan, Raja kita, Selamat bertakhta! AINS Nilam

前阵子，学校吩咐下来每个学生都要在网上记录AINS Nilam，而且还有目标要达成的，不是说你读了什么书就记录什么，结果搞得两个孩子每天都吵着要写Nilam，而且我们的家有的书太多了，不是一天、两天就能写完的，所以耗在AINS Nilam的时间真的是太多了。 这AINS Nilam最够力的是它还能够看到排行榜的，结果看到他们学校最高分的既然有千多个记录了，在全国的还可以看到上万的记录，我也真不晓得这些人是怎么填的，难道他们真的那么有空吗？ 之前，我还和樑讨论这AINS Nilam的问题，我们总结这系统开始其实是在鼓励小孩多读书，初衷其实是对的，只是到后来变成每个学生都必须完成特定的目标，网上就出现了各种各样的群组，让人们抄写Nilam，其实整个系统都出现变质的情况来，也不晓得那些填进系统里的资料是真的读过了，还是只是从别处抄来的，只为了交差。 这AINS Nilam还会从众多的学生里，选出一些达到高记录的学生来获得Tokoh Nilam 的荣耀，结果就出现了惊人的记录，想之前芹只是记录十几本书就已经要用上好几个小时的时间了，那么那些成千上万的纪录有需要多少的时间呢？现在的孩子还真的不容易当。 想当年，我的年代也是有推行阅读报告的活动，那都是自己动手用笔记录的，我其实还是觉得当年的动手书写的方式会更好，这样不只能够锻炼孩子的写字能力，也能让孩子自主的写自己真正的阅读报告，而我家其实还是比较希望孩子尽量少接触电子类功能，这样也能够保护孩子的眼睛。 老实说，当我知道这AINS Nilam 将有可能永久关闭，我还真的是有松一口气的感觉，因为我真的觉得这系统已经不再符合当初鼓励阅读的初衷了，它已经往错误的方向走去，我之前时常和孩子说最重要的是我知道你们有读到书，至于有没有记录在系统里其实只是其次，当一个人真的想阅读，即使没有这个系统，他们还是会去阅读的；如果他没想读，有了这系统，他最多也是抄袭罢了。

Silver Falls State Park + Gardens Visit 051510

May of 15th 2010, we finally made the trip to Silver Falls State Park, it was a week delay of our first plan because I was quite busy on my work which made me sleepless on that time. In the early morning, we woke up and prepared our lunch for our trip, it was simple - fried rice. Then, we departed from home at eight o'clock and arrived to Silver Falls State Park south entrance about ten plus, immediately we started our hiking from south fall. This is our plan - our startpoint is South Entrance with Canyon Trail and our sequence of ten falls is South Falls, Lower South Falls, Low North Falls, Double Falls, Drake Falls, Middle North Falls, Twin Falls, North Falls, Upper North Falls, and then we take the Rim Trail back to south entrance, there we can see the Winter Falls at last.
