ASIMO to Penang
There is a special event in Penang Queensbay Mall over this weekend, the famuos robot ASIMO is visiting Penang and has its roadshow there.
Well... what ASIMO is? It is short form of "A Step in Innovative Mobility", which is a robot created by Honda engineers, it can do a lot of things, talking, walking, running, dancing, drawing (well... I rather say this as recognising colour), kicking a ball, serve beverage and so on.
Although all ASIMO's activities are pre-programmed, so that't there it can move and do those actions, but this is quite an amazing invention, our robot is close to humanize for time being.
After reading the booklet about ASIMO, I found full of amazing in this robot, actually this project is developed since 1986 for 22 years until now. Honda enigneers are started with it's legs movement correctness and this took them for ten yeats plus to improve it.
After knowing this, I just found that innovation really takes time, the greater your innovation, the longer time you need to spend, it will not appear within one day. Therefore, you need have more determination to complete it, else you will fail while you give up in the middle.
This is same as every new starting, it will take more time to encounter with new thing, so that we always need to remember the process with ASIMO invention to remind us not to give up.
