Third day in Maldives

29th of September, our third day in Maldives, we slept for more than eight hours last night, so we felt fully recharged on the morning, but we missed our clock alarm for sunrise photography session.

We went to water sport for our kayaking session after breakfast, we were earlier as the center only operates on 9am, so we waited by the beach where is close to Sunset Bar. It was high tide and we saw a school of small fish swam close to seashore and there were some baby sharks swam among them and chased them to hunt for food, I was so excited to see this.

We got a two people kayak at 9am and started our journey, we decided to row slower and enjoyed view this time. We row at clockwise direction from Water Sport Center and further from shore this time, so we abled to see corals undersea and we found that corals around water villa is more beautiful than other reef exits, so we decided to do our snorkeling around this area later. Kayaking took us about 50 minutes to complete the route around the island this time.

Later on, we went for snorkeling around water villa area after some rest at our room, truely we saw a lot of corals and fish there, we also about to view the water villa from that direction as we swam further to the reef exit, it's indeed a wonderful room.

During snorkeling, we got a problem for keeping our room key because there is no pocket with our swimming suit, so we decided to hang it with a string on our life jacket. Unfortunately, string was broken when we were snorkeling and the worst thing is we didn't know when and where we lost it, we were panic that time and kept searching but how is it possible to find a small sized key in such a huge ocean? I really couldn't put any hope to get our key back and we might need to pay for lost key :(

When SL asked me to stay at beach to wait for tiny hope and he would go to reception to report lost and getting another key, suddenly there was another visitor past something to SL and it was our room key, we really couldn't believe that we were so lucky because SL checked for existence of key from time to time and he was sure the key lost during snorkeling, that mean key was traveled back to seashore after we lost it and collected by another kind visitor in coincident, and luckily water current flow toward our direction. Now we already tested wood made key chain is designed for this purpose as what we discussed previously.

After lost of key, we decided to leave our room key in safety deposit box in room and only left room unlocked when we were out for snorkeling as we believe all visitors are richer than us, so that we don't need to worry about missing anything from our room :) Yes, we did it during our snorkeling at afternoon, this left us don't need to worry about where our key goes.

We really enjoyed snorkeling now, we saw a lot of corals and fish, over the reef exit, there is deep blue sea and we can't even see how deep is it. But, there is just like a cliff with full of corals surround the island, which is so beautiful. The further we left from seashore, the bigger fish that we can see, there were even a lot of different shape and colour of fish, I didn't even know there are so many types of fish until I visited to Maldives.

However, there was problem during snorkeling, when we decided swam forward reef exit and we tried to move on an aimed direction, but always when we headed up, we would find that we were actually in wrong direction, this is because current of sea wave pushing us to another direction, so that we actually lost when we swam as we always look down instead of keeping track on reef exit mark, I think Vilamendhoo might need to find a solution for leading visitors move on the correct track.

At evening, we joined a 1.5 hours of sunset cruise provided by resort and it is free for customer taking All Inclusive Plus Package. However, that day was not a good day for sunset photography because clouds were covered over sun, so that sun couldn't set perfectly to create a scenic view. However, there was a full moon rising at another side of sun, a view of full moon above sea looks nice as well. Besides, some who are lucky might see dolphin jumping over water during this journey but we are not the lucky one.

About weather, there were a short period shower when we were at water sport center and on the way back from sunset cruise, just a few minutes pour, but the island stay sunny for the rest of time, I felt lucky for this good weather as my weather forecast at the day before departure was periodical shower.
